Mync has three different import method to manage media clips as following:

Register to library

Mync only registers clip into the library database. Clip file is not copied. This is recommended to register clip that already exists in local drive or storage that is already visible on the PC.

Import

Mync copies clip file from inserted / connected media to the destination then register it to library database. This is recommended to manage clips (photo, video or audio) in media that might be disconnected from the PC such as SD card or USB memory stick.

Card Copy

Mync proceeds file copy and database registration for all clips those are stored in the inserted / connected media such as SD card or USB memory stick
