Mync automatically detects the name of camera manufacturer and model using file metadata. However, if a shot file has no metadata, the name of camera manufacturer and model may not be detected automatically.

Try following to fix this:

Edit metadata before registration / import

Configure the settings for [Metadata for imported clips] properly in the setting screen at import operation, before registering or importing files.

Edit metadata of registered / imported clip

Select a target clip in [Library] or [Imported Histories], and then edit the information directly in the properties pane. If you add the same metadata to multiple clips, select all the target clips, right-click on them, and then click [Edit properties], to edit the information collectively.
